Dr. Bill Mei joins RMH as orthopaedic surgeon

By Lindsay Advocate

Ross Memorial Hospital is expanding its roster of orthopaedic surgeons with the addition of Dr. Xin (Bill) Yu Mei.

Mei joins Ross Memorial Hospital having recently completed an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Harvard University in Boston, and a lower extremity arthroplasty fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Toronto. His practice will focus on primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty, as well as orthopaedic trauma and post-traumatic reconstruction.

“I feel privileged and excited to join the team at Ross Memorial in order to serve the tight-knit, welcoming Kawartha Lakes community,” says Mei. “I look forward to using my skillset to help patients with musculoskeletal ailments return to healthy, active lifestyles.”

RMH now has four full-time orthopaedic surgeons to serve the community’s needs.

Mei’s office will be accepting referrals that can be provided by local family physicians or via Walk-In and Virtual Care Clinics as of Jan. 20.
