Country Cupboard in Fenelon under new ownership

By Lindsay Advocate

Julia Taylor has recently taken over as the new owner of Country Cupboard in Fenelon Falls, where their famous frozen yogurt will continue to be served.

Located at 9 May Street in the village, Country Cupboard offers high quality vitamins and supplements, natural beauty products, eco-friendly cleaning products, essential oils, organic and alternative foods and pantry staples in bulk, and everything else you expect to find in a health food store.

“Our service is friendly, experienced, and exceptional,” says Taylor, pointing out her main employee is Carson Keeler, the previous owner (both pictured), who has over 25 years experience in the supplement and health food industry.

Country Cupboard is pleased to offer free jars and cloth bags for bulk food purchases so the community can easily reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact, or customers can bring their own reusable containers and enjoy 10 per cent off for doing their part.

“Our goal is to provide more opportunities to reduce waste by adding household basics like dish washing liquid, laundry detergent, and other household staples to our bulk section,” she says.

Taylor notes they also plan on increasing locally sourced produce and goods to improve the local economy and food security.

“Health, community, and the environment are an important part of our bottom line.”

This summer Country Cupboard will be introducing a dairy-free and gluten-free option frozen yogurt.
